Self- Esteem

Sometimes we can all feel down, but lift youself up. Achieve something, make yourself feel like you're worth it...because you are! Everyone is worth it! Everyone is good enough! Everyone can do anything! Look at the girl in the picture...she is paying no attention to the labels she has and is looking forward and getting past them. She can see her goal and the path it takes to get there. Can you see your goal? Can you get past the labels?

FRUSTRATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ugh................
I'm about to go scream in their faces I'm so ticked off at the moment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pri·or·i·ty
1. Precedence, especially established by order of importance or urgency.
2.
a. An established right to precedence.
b. An authoritative rating that establishes such precedence.
3. A preceding or coming earlier in time.
4. Something afforded or deserving prior attention

They need to learn the definition of this word then get theirs straight!

No we don't have the money for me to go to counseling or to fix the mold in my wall but we have the money for them to go to dinner and to get 2 new laptops an ipod and a NintendoDS o and a $300 hitch for our van!!!

Im not graduating but if I was this would be my speech

Though it has only taken a few short years to get to this night, we all have many more years ahead of us. Some destined to be nurses, or teachers, some heading off for the army in but a few short weeks, we the graduating class of 2012 will all do great things. All of us have made mistakes, but we made it. Whether it took 13, 14, or even 15 years...we made it. But, to make it here we had help. I can not list all the people that have helped me or we'd be here for a few days so I have chosen the ones that stand out the most to me.

The very first people I would like to thank are my amazing, awesome, gorgeous friends. They have helped me through everything. Being in a new school, helping me with debate, and most of all just their true loving concern for me.

Danielle, I want to thank you for showing me I'm not alone and never will be. Thank you for showing me it is possible and I can accomplish great things, if I have the right people by my side to help me. You have shown me not to be afraid of who I am and who I want to be.

Now little Cameron, only 4yrs old, I want to thank you. For all those nights when you wanted to sleep with me, for all the kisses you refused to give, I want to thank you for just being you. All the little things you do make me feel important. So to my little brother I say proudly with a smile on my face Thank You.

My best friend, my sister, my everything...I told you I will do anything to get you to your graduation night. I think that was wrong. You did everything to get me where I am right now. You accepted my stupidity and loved me anyway. You were always there when I needed you. I can't count the number of times you called me a big baby because I was crying in your arms. You will never know the effect your love had on me these last few year but that's ok, I know what it did for me and that's why I'm saying thank you.

High school has been the worst and best time of my life. You ask how can it be both? I don't know, but it was. As I look back on my junior high years I didn't know what to do with my life now only 4 years later I have my CNA and I've started my career. I reflect upon the hardest parts of my life right now and what sticks out to me is saying goodbye to 10th grade. With the school closing and moving to another campus many people would be switching schools and I knew some of those people that had helped me get that far I would never see again, but we kept in contact.

I would like to close by thanking all of my teachers, princiPALs, and school staff that have ever had any part in my life. whether it be a math teacher(you guys had the easy job), an English teacher(umm if your an English teacher your probably trying to fix my speech as I'm reading it but thanks anyway), O and I can't forget my favorite princiPAL around Mr.Oliver. And I thank you all for listening to me tonight. Thank You.

Importance

So I was just chattin' with Donna, and I sent a link to my blog. Turns out that I was able to help her create her own and bookmark them both. Here's what she said, "Maybe this is why it felt okay to stay home today. God know if I had a place to release, I wouldn't be on those games all day and I could progress, like study for my life exam and study my Mary Kay...too much on my mind stiffles me!I could even go out and do business if my mind was clear!!I did pray for a bridge so that I could get more productive! See how important you are?!" See how she mentioned prayer...I know right it's everywhere I get my everyday reminder from somebody. Those lessons I learn from my cousin are enforced by people she doesn't even know. That's a big strengthening agent for my faith.

LIFE.....................

Today proved to be a better day than I thought it would be. Me and one of my long time friends got in a big fight a few weeks back and we are friends again. If anyone read my "what Im doing" page I mentioned hoping I could fix things with my best friend before it was to late...well I think I may have accomplished that. She started texting me again today.
Also today I was questioning my faith and understanding of the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints(the church to which I belong), but my cousin was right behind me to catch me and help me along. I learn from her everyday. Today's lesson was: "PRAY! PRAY! and PRAY!"

Thoughts.......on surgery

I still don't know what to think of my father's surgery tomorrow. I guess it's good for him, but is it the right way to do it? Will he follow the diet? Or be one of the few that it doesn't do anything for because he keeps eating the same way? What will happen in surgery? Will I end up wishing I spent more time with him? Or will I still not care? I guess I've never really let my feelings on this come to the surface before now. His choice is his choice......I just wish they would've thought of the kids and our economic status first.

What Pain is Good Pain

Violence is never the answer
Or so they say
But is walking away the answer?
That hurts in a different way
But it's pain all the same.
A step away from a conversation
Can make someone think your giving up forever,
A punch in the arm can make your best friend your enemy.
What are you to do?
Physical hurt or emotional hurt?
Neither.
No pain is good pain.

True Love

True love
Waits in his hands
When he leaves
My world comes to a halt
When my eyes meet his
My heart fills with joy
And when he says "I Love You, Babe"
I know....
He means it....
I thought he meant it
I thought it was real.

Can anyone guess who I wrote this for?

Just Believe

Reach out and take my hand
I'm here to help
I won't let go
You're almost there
You WILL make it
I have faith in you
Now find faith in yourself
And just BELIEVE you will make it

Can anyone figure out what it means?

The Starfish Story By: Loren Eisley

Words to live by:

One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking up starfish and gently throwing it back into the ocean. Approaching the boy, he asked, "What are you doing?" The youth replied, "Throwing starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them back, they'll die." "Son," the man said, "don't you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can't make a difference!" After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man. he said.... "I made a difference for that one."

Everyone can make a difference. You never know who your helping.
